Coming off of The String Cheese Incident’s huge return to the stage last summer at ROTHBURY, the band will play a handful of select dates in 2010: Colorado’s historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 23rd, 24th and 25th, Horning’s Hideout, outside of Portland, Oregon on July 30th, 31st and August 1st, and Hampton Coliseum during Halloween weekend. Tickets for Red Rocks and Horning’s Hideout sold out in just minutes, and Hampton Coliseum seats are moving quickly.

But there is good news for SCI fans who can’t make it to the shows – iClips has teamed up with The String Cheese Incident to broadcast every show in 2010.

Broadcasts are available for $7.99 per show, or bundle your purchases: $15 for all three Red Rocks shows, $20 for 3 nights at Horning’s Hideout (including streaming of other acts on the bill), $10 for both Halloween shows. Season 7 starts tonight and I am uber pumped.  Entourage is one of my personal favorites. If you have not checked this show out you must. The DVD’s are dirt cheap right now so it won’t cost you much.

The show centers around Vince Chase, a movie star, and his group of friends living in LA. It really shows the part of hollywood us normal folks don’t get to see.

Quick Recap – Last season ended with E proposing to Sloan and her saying yes. Turtle broke it off with Jaime Lynn and the Chase brothers are headed to Italy so Vince can film. Drama is finally starring in his own tv series as well.

The entourage is slowly growing apart so I am curious to see where this season is going!!

Umphrey’s McGee, a progressive rock jam band formed in South Bend Indiana, will be playing at the Centennial Quarry in Sylvania, OH on July 7^th starting at 7 p.m. 

I have to say this band is crazy talented.  Jake Cinniger (UM lead guitarist) is one of the best guitarist I have ever heard.  Check out the video for proof!

 With a cult following around the world, this will be Umphrey’s first time playing in Northwest Ohio. The band has been touring worldwide for years including performances at festivals such as Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, both similar to Woodstock. They have also performed at venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Nokia Theatre Times Square and even performed on national television on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show where the band performed with Huey Lewis.

 It’s been awhile I know. I’m back with some high-flying action. That shadow in the poster is really me showing off. Be lucky we have never to fight…or do we?

 When I heard that The Karate Kid was being remade I laughed. You can’t remake a classic…it’s sucide. Then I watched some of the previews and the movie actually looks pretty good.

Jaden Smith, yes son of Will Smith, will be playing the kid who gets picked on and then learns karate and kicks everyone’s ass. Jackie Chan will be the mentor to Smith and will teach him how to kick ass. I am excited to see Smith in this because his last role in  The Pursuit of Happyness was well done. The acting genes must have been passed down in the Smith family. I am sure Chan will play the role he has played in every movie (good stunts, broken english, and a few funny lines).

This story takes place with a young kid named Dre (Smith) moving from the U.S. to China who is having a hard time adjusting and is getting bullied. He happens to find Mr. Han (Chan) who teaches him to stand up for himself.

This movie comes out tomorrow. It will be worth seeing….get it? Took you a second, but you got it.

1.  Tony Stark (Iron Man) 

Tony tops the list not because I just saw the movie, but because he is just badass. When he is not in his Iron Man suit he is just some rich guy that is a narcissist and does not give a shit about what he says or does. This is a combo for great laugh. During the movie I wanted to see more of him than Iron Man. 

2. Bruce Wayne (Batman) 

I am talking about the Christian Bale version here. Bruce is similar to Tony Stark in the fact that they are both rich guys that pick up a lot of chicks. Bruce has a dry sense of humor, which can be funny at points. Most of the time he is serious though. What I really like about Bruce is he does not have any superpowers. All he has is a normal costume and some gadgets so he is just kicking ass with his fists and his mind. He plays more of a detective than superhero, which makes him very unique. 

3. Peter Parker (Spiderman)  

Peter is a funny nerd. We laugh at him not with him. You almost feel bad with all the stuff that happens to him. He is just a lovable nerd who happens to have gotten lucky with a radioactive spider. With great power comes a better chance of getting laid. Isn’t that what Uncle Ben told Peter? 

4. Logan (Wolverine)  

Logan is a shoot first, ask questions later. He just blows down the door and starts swinging. He deserves the toughest guy award because of it. Who needs strategy when you have metal claws and can never die? 

5. Bruce Banner (Hulk) 

Bruce ends the list because he represents how we all feel when we get pissed. We don’t turn into a green giant, but we do feel like smashing things. People know not to fuck with Bruce when gets pissed.

Eminem is back and is planning on releasing his new album on June 22 entitled “Recovery.”

Take a listen to his first single off the album. It’s pretty good!

Eminem – Not Afraid

This week in HCYNW I am going to examine the funniest show on TV..It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. You would be surprised at how many people have never watched the show (most have only heard of it). 

The series follows The Gang, a group of five alcoholic, depraved underachievers who run Paddy’s Pub, a run-down bar in South Philadelphia. They are dishonest, selfish, self-centered, egotistical, ignorant, greedy, unethical, arrogant, and antagonistic, and are often embroiled in controversial issues. Episodes usually find them hatching elaborate schemes, conspiring against one another or others for personal gain or the pleasure of watching their downfall (Wikipedia). Yes I did use Wikipedia as a source which I know is a no-no in journalism 101, but  it happens.

The show normally airs on Thursdays at 10 p.m on FX, but no new episodes are being created right now.

I have a hard time believing that people are missing out on this show. It is such a unique show and the writing is really good. It is starting to get more and more popular, but by now it should be more popular than The Office. 

Older episodes are moving to Comedy Central so if you have not seen the show now is your chance to catch up and really get into the show. I am not sure when it will be airing on CC, but I will let you know.
