It’s been awhile I know. I’m back with some high-flying action. That shadow in the poster is really me showing off. Be lucky we have never to fight…or do we?
When I heard that The Karate Kid was being remade I laughed. You can’t remake a classic…it’s sucide. Then I watched some of the previews and the movie actually looks pretty good.
Jaden Smith, yes son of Will Smith, will be playing the kid who gets picked on and then learns karate and kicks everyone’s ass. Jackie Chan will be the mentor to Smith and will teach him how to kick ass. I am excited to see Smith in this because his last role in The Pursuit of Happyness was well done. The acting genes must have been passed down in the Smith family. I am sure Chan will play the role he has played in every movie (good stunts, broken english, and a few funny lines).
This story takes place with a young kid named Dre (Smith) moving from the U.S. to China who is having a hard time adjusting and is getting bullied. He happens to find Mr. Han (Chan) who teaches him to stand up for himself.
This movie comes out tomorrow. It will be worth seeing….get it? Took you a second, but you got it.
